Completed Livery

Well, after a long haul of about 11 hours the livery is complete! All that is left to do now is add the series sponsors and the numbers to the car, but all else is done.I’m extremely happy with the result, and a big thank you goes out to Jonathan @ Driven Designs for his excellent work, and most of all his patience.

Below is a gallery of the finished work. The dive planes and mirrors need to be added back on, and I will grab a few more shots in better lighting with all complete as soon as it’s ready.

Livery Prep

New livery goes on tomorrow so this is the last time the car will look like this. The car was given a wash in preperation for the stickers, so here’s a few pics pre and post wash… excited to see how the livery turns out!

Phillip Island Test – 7th March 2012

DBS Motorsport took the SR3 out for a pre-season test at Phillip Island on the 7th of March, and the day was a great success. The testing duties were being undertaken by team owner Dane Stokes and DBS Motorsport sponsor and series driver Simon Baxter.

Times are 4-5 seconds off where we really want to be, but for Simon’s first time in the car, and only second time in a Radical, and Dane’s second time on the track we were very happy with the progress. We know where the time can be made up, so we’ll work on getting there over the coming 6 weeks.

The car was faultless, and the overall experience was very smooth.

Below is a video of Dane Stokes lapping in the last session. We will upload more video’s over the coming days and post them up.
